You need to choose the best running shoe for the mechanics of your body to lower your risk of getting injured. Here, a couple crouches on the street to tie their running shoes. A new study of endurance runners reports that not knowing how your feet hit the pavement increases the likelihood of getting hurt and suggests the best shoe to reduce this risk. Here, a man rubs his foot after running. It's important to know if your heel or the front part of your foot hits the pavement first, so you can be trained on better technique. Here, a woman pushes off her toes. The researchers said that a lot of cushioning in the shoe may make it more challenging for runners to identify how they’re striking the ground.
